Richard Garey is currently pursuing architectural licensure via reciprocity with the California Architects Board. Until that process is complete, Manhatta Architecture will be offering limited services within California as outlined below.

Licensing – Business & Professions Code – Ch. 3, Div. 3, Sec. 5537

• The Architects Practice Act “does not prohibit a person from preparing plans, drawings, or specifications for any of the following;”

  • Single family detached dwellings of wood frame construction no more than 2 stories and basement in height

  • Multiple dwelling units (no more than 4) wood frame construction, no more than 2 stories and basement in height

  • Garages or other similar structures of wood frame construction not more than 2 stories and basement in height

  • Agricultural and ranch buildings of wood frame construction, unless the local building official deems it an undue risk to public health, safety, or welfare
